Reflecting Memories

Good Morning Friends,

It is so much fun decorating for Xmas and having the Xmas spirit. But now 2010 is over...I’ve made my New Years' Resolution is to keep my life de-clutter. Out with OLD (dead weight, selfish people, negative people with nothing nice to say or do, and last but not least Fakers) in with the NEW (de-clutter my house and work space, positive people, think out of the box, creative, honesty, Integrity, and work hard, do unto other as you would have them do unto you and most all be very thankful)

I remembered a childhood memory…I once was talking to a precious and wise old lady…so I thought she was old. My grandmother (Wela) was so wise and love story telling. Her story telling had a meaning that I could never understand. I was only a little girl and when I grew up into my Junior and High School years I defiantly didn’t want to be bothered with her story tells…Blah Blah Blah, wah, wah, wah…I knew it all…so I thought.

My Wela loved to sew. She sat in her old sewing chair and in front of her sewing machine for hours making quilts. One day I asked Wela how do you know all this stuff and she would laugh and say , Mehita (daughter), “I just do.” Life is what gives you memories and memories give you a reflection of good and bad experiences in your life. We are to take the reflection and analysis everything you have experience and decide what you learned from them. After you’ve done that, ASK ASK one question and on question only. I said, To Who? Wela was looking at me with her thick glasses and beautiful those eyes. Her eyes were blue-ish gray and I felt she can see right thru me…my thoughts, my pain. Later on I came to find out she had cataracts and legally blind from her right eye.

Wela, “who do I ask and what do I ask?”

“Just ask, he can hear you, just talk and talk like you are talking to your best friend,” she said.

Wela’s answer was more confusing to me than ever. I started to talk and then I asked. GOD, WHY GIRLS DON’T LIKE ME, GOD WHY…Wela interrupted and said, Only ask one question. Make sure it’s the question you reflected on.

“GOD WHY DOES IT SEEMS LIKE I CAN’T DO NOTHING RIGHT!” I said.

Okay I’ve asked so where my answer…I don’t hear him. PATIENCE, sshh! Don’t talk, close your eyes, place your hand on your heart…quiet, peaceful now. Wait you will hear him talk to you. Only you can hear him. He might not answer right away, just ask again and have PATIENCE!

Wela was right! I heard him, OUT with the OLD and IN with the NEW! Do BAD (old) things in your life and you will not succeed in your life…Be GOOD (new) and you will succeed in abundance!

My lesson learned for 2010 was about people (politions, teachers, friends, associates, family, etc…) Funny thing I had a memory of this same year several years ago. My Welita said never stop reflecting back because you will fall again…I sure did, took it for granted. Always remember, always forgive, but never forget. Apparently I failed this year 2010, I had become very gullible and failed to ASK and pray for more than I should have.

I encountered a bumping road during this year 2010 with envious, jealousy, spiteful, and e

vil people. Then there were are some people …so you thought were your friends… you just have to make that true commitment and disassociate yourself from and say GOD I leave them in your hands. I’m a true believer, if you feel it’s wrong, it’s WRONG and if it walks like a DUCK, then it’s a DUCK! Just stay away from people that are not doing anything but sucking your life energy way.

My goals met, very blessed and thankful 2010…LOST WEIGHT 30lbs, blessed to see my daughter get married, blessed to have a wonderful husband and all my children, blessed to work with Keller Williams Realty Coastal Bend and all my clients that believed in me, blessed my family are healthy, blessed my husband has a job, blessed to have abundance of love, faith, God, prayer, food, house, car, and all my blessing are a recipe of a life of gratitude.

May all your lessons not be forgotten and my all your goals be met. Happy New Year 2011
